Perhaps it is too much.
Too red.
Too long.
Too romantic.
Too formal.
And that is exactly why I love it.
When I was creating this dress, I kept asking myself: Isn’t this a little too much?
And then I thought: Why should it be?
Why be afraid of being too beautiful.
Too striking.
Too feminine.
Too visible.
And why should we always try to be just enough?
Yes, this dress may be a little too formal for a Monday meeting.
But if you want to turn an ordinary Monday into a Killing Monday, then why not?
And in the evening? The State Opera. Madama Butterfly.
Red silk. A long silhouette. A little drama.
Sometimes you don’t need to wait for the right occasion.
You simply create one.
The dress is made from 100% Vietnamese silk, Lụa Hà Đông, a traditional silk known for its delicate sheen. Almost ten metres of fabric are used for each dress, because the silk is only approximately 80 cm wide.
One universal size, approximately XS–L, designed to naturally adapt to the body. Almost 150 cm in length. Because with a dress like this, there should be enough fabric.
It can always be shortened.
Only a few pieces have been made, in two colours: red and black.
Treat the silk gently — hand wash in lukewarm water, preferably with a little hair shampoo, or better yet, leave the care of your dress to a good dry cleaner.
Because sometimes “too much” is exactly enough.
